John Rachoy, DPM, is an experienced podiatry specialist joining us from North Point Orthopaedics. Originally from Dyer and an Andrean High School alumnus, he is deeply rooted in Northwest Indiana.
Dr. Rachoy completed his bachelor’s degree at Loyola University of Chicago. He finished medical school at Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois.
He fulfilled his residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago (AMITA Health) and North Chicago VAMC, followed by a fellowship in complex foot and ankle reconstruction at Chicago Foot and Ankle Deformity Correction Center.
Dr. Rachoy is multiskilled in trauma, elective surgery, diabetic complications, and limb-saving procedures. He is particularly interested in diabetic foot and leg-preserving surgery, micro-incision foot surgery, and complex foot and ankle surgery. For Dr. Rachoy, podiatry allows him to improve his patients’ quality of life.
After over 21 years of practicing podiatry, Dr. Rachoy has extensive expertise in his field.
Dr. Rachoy is the Director of the Franciscan Alliance Podiatric Surgical Residency, where he instructs residents and students. He is proud to make a positive impact in the lives of his patients and the lives of his students and residents. Dr. Rachoy loves teaching, enabling him to give back to the profession that has given him so much.
In his early adult life, Dr. Rachoy was involved in other industries, such as a hardware store, a restaurant, a construction company, a shoe store, and a library. He enjoys working with his hands and doing home improvements. He is a father of four wonderful children.
